iPhone App Review : ColorSplash

My first go on ColorSplash for the iPhoneI have no choice but to spell colour the wrong way here as it’s an american app.

Review

This is a great little iPhone app that will no doubt bring thousands of people hours and hours of fun.

It lets you take a picture with your camera or use an image from your camera roll, then turn specific parts colour and the rest B&W. Check out the images below to get the general idea of what to do (it’s pretty easy).

I will twitter out more images for at least a week with the #colorsplash hash tag. After that I will probably get bored of it.

Screenshots

step-1Step 2 - Colour in where you want colour to show through.Step 3 - Zoom in to get the finer details.Step 4 - You can always press the button at the top to check how it looks.

Price

£1.19

Buy it

If this was 59p I would say snap it up straight away, at £1.19 I would say think twice before purchasing it. It’s a decent app but if you watch what you buy it might not be worth the £1+ pricing. That said I will no doubt be twittering a few ColorSplashed pics over the next couple of weeks.

It is actually a Canadian app written by a German :)
But the vast majority of iPhone users are in the US, hence the ‘wrong’ spelling.
Your “Radio City” example image is very cool.
